Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Rank the Rich.

Where does the data come from?
Public, Forbes/Bloomberg-style record — an approximate net-worth estimate, a primary industry, and a country for each person. Nothing private, nothing scraped in real time.
How accurate are the net-worth figures?
They're rounded, approximate public estimates, refreshed by hand from a curated list. Billionaire wealth swings daily with the markets, so treat every number as a ballpark rather than a live quote.
How does the ranking work?
Pure Elo. Everyone starts at 1500. Each head-to-head vote moves both ratings (K=32), so the leaderboard is entirely community-driven — no editors put a thumb on the scale.
Is this a judgement about these people?
No. It's a lighthearted popularity game about famous fortunes — not financial advice, and not a verdict on anyone's worth, character, or how they earned their money.
Can I suggest someone to add?
The pool is a curated editorial list, so there's no public submission form. Send a note via the contact page and we may add them in a future update.
Do I need an account to vote?
No. Voting is anonymous — no sign-up and no login. Just open the vote page and start picking.
